Day 1: Bamboo Rafting Adventure and Chieu Lau Village Exploration

Upon arrival and settling in at my house, we’ll embark on a car tour to explore the enchanting countryside surrounding Cham Stream, where an exciting bamboo rafting experience awaits us. Guided by our skilled local expert, we’ll peacefully drift along the stream, taking in the breathtaking scenery of Pu Luong Nature Reserve. As we glide through lush forests, verdant rice fields, and traditional stilt houses, we’ll immerse ourselves in the natural splendor of the area.

Next on our itinerary is a visit to Chieu Lau Village. Here, we’ll witness traditional farming methods and observe the operational ancient waterwheels, crucial for irrigating the local rice paddies. These iconic waterwheels are not only a testament to Pu Luong’s rich agricultural heritage but also serve as a significant cultural and historical attraction. Watching the rhythmic motions of the waterwheels provides a fascinating glimpse into the local way of life.

After exploring the village and experiencing the charm of the countryside, including terraced rice fields and majestic limestone mountains, we’ll continue our journey to Lan Village. Renowned for its silk production and home to the Thai ethnic group, Lan Village offers a unique opportunity to visit a local silk-weaving household. Here, we’ll witness the intricate process of silk production, from cocoon to finished product. Visitors can learn about silk dyeing, weaving techniques, and even try their hand at silk-making under expert guidance.

Following the enriching silk-weaving demonstration, we’ll have time to further explore the idyllic surroundings, including local rice paddies, meandering streams, and traditional dwellings. Our day’s adventures will conclude as we return to your lodge, nestled within the serene beauty of Pu Luong Nature Reserve.

Day 2: Half-day Trekking, talking, and visiting local people. (G)

After the trek, you will be able to witness the local craftsmanship as you see how stilt houses are constructed. The tour ends with a visit to a traditional village, where you will have the opportunity to interact with the locals, try local food and drinks, and learn about the culture and traditions of the ethnic minority groups in the area. After that, you will come back to your hotel and enjoy your dinner by your own account.
